Matariki Celebration

On Friday we celebrated Matariki. At lunch we had a sausage sizzle. Then we went to the hall and watched some performances. First was the junior Kapa Haka, then we had the Pacifica group. Next we watched a video about the story of Matariki. Then the Ukulele group sang Shotgun. Last was the Senior Kapa Haka. I was in the senior Kapa Haka and I enjoyed performing for the school.

Today the whole school went to the hall and there was this
man named Johnny. He was our drum teacher to teach us how
to drum with Djembes. We had to listen to the rhythm.
Johnny told us that if you can say it you can play it so we all had
to listen so we knew what the rhythm was. We all were focused
and enjoyed the drumming lesson. We got to have some drums
